Yaesu - VX 150
At the moment we are using Yeasu VX 150's which we
have found work quite well.

Of course our radio of choice is the Yaesu VX-7R but that
will have to wait until we can afford them ourselves or we
can get them donated. The reason for the VX-7R is that
it can pick up, and hopefully transmit, airband with a
little modification. This is the kind of thing we will need
as it will be legal in any country as opposed to 2 mt
which is not welcome in some.

The plan is also to have a base station in each of the
cars as well as mobile units should the drivers need to
get seperated from the vehicle for instance if they need
to get to an injured pilot etc.
